Prince William Drops Queen Camilla’s Kin, Formerly Employed by King Charles, from His Payroll — Here’s What to Know

In a surprising move, Prince William has reportedly dismissed Annabel Elliot, Queen Camilla’s sister, from the Duchy of Cornwall’s payroll, ending nearly two decades of her service as the estate’s interior designer. Annabel, who worked on royal properties under King Charles III’s direction, was not paid for her services in 2023-2024, marking her departure as William shapes the estate’s management.

William’s decision has drawn mixed reactions online. One user commented, “Charles put her on the payroll… I’m glad Prince William took her off.” Others questioned her role, with one asking, “Why was she even on it? What does she do exactly?”

Despite this change, Annabel remains involved in royal projects, including recent renovations at Balmoral. However, her company, Annabel Elliot Limited, has faced financial challenges recently.

This shake-up in the Duchy’s management comes as William assumes more royal responsibilities. He was appointed Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps last May, a position previously held by Prince Harry. As William’s role grows, these changes add a fresh twist to the royal family’s unfolding dynamics.
